Week 4 Update & Conclusion
Dear Parents and Students,
Thank you for your participation in this program! Our club is glad to have offered this summer camp as a way of expanding STEM and robotics interest in our community.
It has been an amazing 4-week journey where the students learned how to apply the engineering process, design process, building, and programming principles from lessons into hands-on and interactive activities. We successfully finished the clawbots, sumo bots, sprocket league, maze, and ringmaster challenges - each of these challenges had a unique skill set that fostered important designing features be it lifts/expansion mechanisms or using sensors to automate their robots to navigate through a specified area.

Throughout the program, we went through some ups and downs and were able to teach students live troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, something that is unfortunately quite uncommon despite its importance. If you have any suggestions, please submit them here so that we can improve our program for future years - your advice is greatly appreciated.
This would not have been possible without our club’s wonderful mentors, volunteers, officers, and advisor (Mr. Farmer). If your child is going into 9th grade at Dougherty Valley High School, consider having them apply for our novice program. It's a 2-part yearlong program that is integrated into our school that offers more advanced learning through VEX V5 (metal version).
